I began this blog in an effort to energize everyone with an open mind and willing spirit to turn a critical eye to the world around them. To refuse to accept the way things are and understand that through communication & awareness followed swiftly by action & activism we as a people can change the world around us into a better place. Like most things in our very busy lives, “my mission” got thrown to the wayside in lieu of things that seemed to be more important.
However, due to recent events of our latest presidential election, I have realized that not only can social consciousness change the world, but that social consciousness is necessary in order for the world to change. Although I am not Mr. Obama’s most staunch supporter, one thing he has inspired me to do is to keep on believing that the my voice, our voice, the voice of the American community does not fall on deaf ears. That what is said in a public forum, while not always responded to is heard by someone.
So I am now re-dedicated to making sure my voice and the voices of all those who are sensitive to the issues of police brutality in this nation are heard. By the right person. So that something may finally be done about it. We now live in a time where the power of the media is almost inherent to defining reality. Which is why this site does its best to strip itself of all bias and opinion and disseminate information to the public in a clear and factual way.
To those who are using the media to help in the fight against corrupt and immoral law enforcement I applaud you and I hope to rejoin you with a renewed spirit in hopes of achieving our goal of fair and just treatment from those we pay to protect and serve.
Thank you for your support in this effort.
